We’ve happened to come upon five free tickets to Sotkamon Jymy vs. Kouvolan Pallonlyöjät pesäpallo game for this Saturday, 25th of May, and we decided to give them to the first five people (1 per person) who come to the bar and say: SUPERPESIS at the counter.

Many congratulations first goes to all the teams that took part (except our own because we sucked!). It’s been a great season and we can’t wait to get it all started again in August.
So, Ville Tuominen’s Lakeside Gunners picked up 1st place and a voucher for €50.
2nd place goes to Lauri Nieminen’s Rakuunat. He’ll be getting a cheque €30 exchangeable at the bar counter.
And in 3rd place comes Pav X’s Green Monster for a nice voucher worth €20.

This is another show in a series of promotional events for the 2nd annual Finland International Improv Festival, which takes place from May 28 – June 1!!

IDIOMATIC

Idiomatic is a five-piece pop/rock group from Tampere. They took their very first steps in 2006 and have played since. Really the band got it going in summer 2007 when it played its first gigs.
Musically Idiomatic is a mélange of this and that. The boys’ musical tastes and backgrounds are diverse and the common vision of the songs is usually formed during the jam sessions in the rehearsal room. Everybody brings something to the room and the mix of the five, well, that’s Idiomatic.
In autumn 2010 Idiomatic released their debut EP, There’s No Promise. It continues in their rich and powerfully melancholy indie sound from their earlier demos.

It’s time for a change on the seasonal tap from Sinebrychoff. The product on this tap change 3-4 times a year.
The winner of the Beer Master 2013 competition, Mirva Kylmäkorpi, designed the malty Sinebrychoff Olutmestarin 777 IPA beer together with Heikki Vuokko from Sinebrychoff. It’s a fruity Indian Pale Ale with a malty toffee aroma that combines with a summery citrus hoppyness. It is dry, full of flavour and very quaffable. The malts used are pilsner malts and dark and light caramel malts. The aromatic citrus hoppiness has been achieved with both a rich aroma hopping and a dry hopping of the American Cascade and Citra hops. The three sevens in the name of the beer come from the alcohol prosentage (5,7 til-%), colour (17 EBC) and bitters (57 EBU).

The Puistofutis football games are starting again in May and FC O’Connell’s is looking for fresh blood to liven up the team. If you’d like to kick the ball around in this friendly series come and join our team!
Both men and women are welcome…and it really doesn’t matter in what shape you are, it’s just for fun in the end…Cheerleaders are also welcome :)

Puistofutis is starting and FC O’Connell’s has its very first game of the season this Tuesday, 14th of May, at 17:55 at Pirkkahalli Hiekka (sand) field against PaLä and some re-enforcements would not be turned down.
