The doors open at 16.00 and then everything magically turns green, the beer, the cocktails, the cider, the staff, you…
Come early if you want to find a seat and get a hat. There’s an award for best costume. The guys of Jhary’s will be playing live and we might also have another performance during the evening.

All draught products will be on discount and there’s also the specialty cocktails for affordable prices. Our chef Jussi will be serving a special Paddy’s Day buffet at a very affordable price in addition to the regular menu. And of course we’ll be treating you to the traditional cake in the form of an Irish flag!
So dress green and bring your friends along for an unforgettable Wednesday!

Following in the success of the “O’C‘s has talent – Raw and Unplugged” competition we had in Autumn, we are now expanding the concept and opening up a competition for upcoming amateur BANDS!
So, if you have your own band or know of a band, who’s tired of playing in grandma’s garage, spread the word, get organised and sign up! You can sign up and get more information from merv@oconnells.fi or at the bar counter.

We are looking for some raw talent to perform and compete for substantial prizes up to 800 EUROS!
All the bands will be judged by music professionals and you might even get the chance to be scooped up by a record label!
All the members of the band must be OVER 18 YEARS OLD.
We will need to know the name of your band, the style of music you’re playing, your names and contacts: email address & phone number.

Have you dug up everything green from your closet? Did you make yourself the best costume ever? Did you remember to take that evening off?

Wednesday, March 17th, is the big day! The day that all the Irish, all the Irish-minded and, in general, anyone who likes to have a bit of fun gather together in the best Irish Bar in town to celebrate the favourite saint of Ireland, who got rid of all the snakes! Jhary’s will be playing their sweet Irish tunes live!
Traditionally the celebrations include wrapping yourself in green garments, wearing silly hats, drinking anything green and a whole lot of Guinness!!

Wednesday begins another month in our pub quiz and that means that by participating each week with the same team name you have a great chance of winning some monthly prizes in addition to the weekly ones! The quiz starts at 19.00 sharp every Wednesday and takes about 2 h. The best three teams are rewarded each week (+ one raffle prize) and the three best teams of the month get prizes at the last quiz of the month. All the questions are in Finnish and in English and are shown on the big screen and TVs!
