Thomas Caffrey’s Irish Ale A.B.V. – 4.8%
Caffrey’s comes from Belfast, North Ireland where it is brewed by the Thomas Caffrey Brewing Company. Caffrey’s is considered a bitter, but it is not overly bitter. It has a dreamy, creamy, toffeeesque taste that is light enough to drink all day. Despite the toffee quality, one wouldn’t call this beer sweet. It has really beautiful amber/copper colouring and a thick, rich head.
Lindemans Kriek A.B.V. -3.5 %
In origin, this sweet-acid drink was obtained by adding fresh black cherries to a barrel Lambic of 6 months young. The addition of fruits provokes a new fermentation in the oak barrels. This traditional type of fruit beer is more acid and less fruity. Kriek has a pink-red color and a delicious taste of sparkling cherry champagne.
