O’Connell’s Irish Bar
There’s a new menu from the kitchen. Come and check it out!
The new dishes in the starters section include Jo Jo potatoes (Lousiana-style crusted baked potatoes with cheese, peach salsa and a dip of your choice) and Croque Madame ( Sourdough bread filled with cheesy béchamel and ham, topped with a runny egg) on top of some of the old favourites.
In the mains there’s Po’Boys sandwiches with tasty filling choices of Jerk Shrimp, Philly Cheesesteak, Buffalo Chicken, Falafel, Pulled Pork or Vegan Shrimp. The salads have been redesigned and the choices now are: Jerk Shrimp, Grilled Halloumi, Vegan Shrimp or Fajita Chicken.
And don’t worry, the Fish’n’Chips is still here too, now with minty peas and tartare sauce.
In addition to the other tasty dishes we have on our menu, we are also doing desserts that change monthly.
The Dessert in July is Lemon Tart with raspberry sorbet.

The library room is available for reservations free of charge, if you want to hold a small meeting or party in a more secluded area. All you need to do is discuss about the reservation and /or other details in advance with the staff. There is also the possibility to pre-order food or a buffet style menu. Food related details should be discussed with our chef.
We cannot insure the availability of the premises on short notice, so make sure to reserve the space you want early enough.
For bigger events the whole of upstairs can be reserved (for a fee) or maybe even the whole bar!

Behind the name Marita Närhi is the musician Tiia Schwartz from Rautalampi, who is known for her work with bands such as Lyyti, Liisa Akimof and Rosita Luu.
