O’Connell’s Irish Bar
The bar is closed for 2 days while the staff take a well earned break to have a recreation day and a rest after.
They’ll be back to serve you again on Wednesday…
There’s EHT ice hockey games happening on the Nokia Arena next to us in early November so we decided to be open a bit earlier on the game days.
Thursday 6th of November the bar & kitchen open already at 15:00!
Friday 7th & Sat 8th the bar & kitchen open (as usual) at 14:00.
Sunday 9th of November the bar & kitchen open already at 14:00!
We are proud to say that O’Connell’s is turning 29 years in December and the party will be happening on Sunday, November 30th, 2025. There will be a private party with invitation only starting at 18:00 and O’Connell’s will be closed to the public ’till 21:00. After that others may join the party too and come listen to the band!
The next day, Monday 1st of December, the bar will be CLOSED.
The new menu is out in May with even more snacks and interesting mains!
Mustamakkara anyone? – That’s right, one of the new dishes revolves around the traditional Tampere black sausage! Other new snacks include halloumi, falafel, loaded poutines and sliders and a mini salad.
In mains we’ve got all new salads, burgers with pulled pork or falafel and of course the classic are still there too!
Dessert in November is stout chocolate cake.
You can now buy gift vouchers to O’C’s at the bar!

Svatováclavská 13 is a classic and yet unique seasonal lager. We cooked it exclusively from fresh, so-called green hops on the day of harvest. We used only fresh Saaz hop cones, which we added throughout the hop brew as part of the traditional two-step cooking process. We used Pilsen and Munich malts. The result is a delicious balanced taste, in which the unique characteristics of the famous Saaz hops stand out. Thanks to it, Svatováclavská 13 acquired an unmistakable distinctive hop aroma, which is supported by unobtrusive mild bitterness and longer aftertaste.

Special edition of our Katuma – a South German-style pilsner hopped with Loral and Mittelfrüh.
This time, we’ve kept the recipe exactly the same, but swapped the German malts for 100% Finnish ones – all sourced and malted by Pehkola Malting House in the Oulu region of Finland.
